Our courses are taught by Matthew Thompson, a fully qualified British Fencing Association coach.
The fee is £85 which covers
- Social Membership of the British Fencing Association (includes insurance)
- 8 weeks of tuition
- Your own fencing glove
- Use of club equipment for all other needs
- Membership of the club for the remainder of the term after your course
We accept beginners of any age from 8 years old upwards. However, numbers are limited to 12, and we allocate places on a first come first served basis.
After completing the course, your beginner's status means you can fence with the club until the end of that term. After that, you can decide whether to join Newbury & District Fencing Club as a full member. You can also have a crack at your British Fencing Association Grade 1 Examination if you wish.
